Stump grinding in Sturbridge, MA
Next door to Brimfield, Sturbridge is one of the towns I work in most, Fiskdale included.
From subdivisions to lake camps
Sturbridge has a little of everything: newer neighborhoods off Route 20 and Route 131, older homes near the town common and Fiskdale, and camps and year-round houses packed around Big Alum Pond and Cedar Lake.
The lake lots are where the 36-inch width of my Vermeer SC362 really pays off. Many have narrow paths between houses or a fenced side yard, and a bigger machine simply wouldn't fit. If there's a 36-inch gate or opening, I can get to your stump.
Trees I see in Sturbridge
Mostly oak and maple in the established neighborhoods, white pine and hemlock closer to the water. Hemlocks have been taking a beating across Massachusetts, so I see a lot of those stumps after removals. Pine and hemlock grind quickly. Big oaks take more time and often have roots worth grinding too.
Keeping it clean
In a tight neighborhood, the cleanup matters as much as the grinding. I run a chip curtain to keep debris off your siding, windows and your neighbor's car. When I'm done, the chips are raked into the hole and the driveway and walks are blown clean.
Get your price
Send a photo of each stump through the form or by text, and tell me if it's in Fiskdale, by one of the lakes, or elsewhere in town. You'll get a firm price, usually the same day, and I call Dig Safe before I grind.
