Stump grinding in Palmer, MA
All four villages, from Depot Village to Bondsville, a short ride from Brimfield.
Older neighborhoods, big old trees
Palmer's villages grew up around the mills and the rivers. The Ware, Swift and Quaboag rivers meet at Three Rivers to form the Chicopee. That history shows in the yards: homes close together, narrow side yards, and mature maples and oaks that have been shading those streets for generations.
When one of those big trees finally comes down, the stump left behind is usually large, with roots heaving the lawn or the edge of a sidewalk or driveway. Those are exactly the jobs I like.
Tight spaces aren't a problem
A lot of Palmer backyards are fenced and reached through a side gate. My Vermeer SC362 fits through a 36-inch gate, so in most cases I can get right to the stump without taking anything apart. If your gate is narrower, send a photo and I'll tell you what we can do.
Near the house? Near the lines?
In older neighborhoods, stumps are often close to foundations, sidewalks and buried utilities. I call Dig Safe (811) before I grind so gas, water and electric lines are marked, and I run a chip curtain to keep debris off the house and anything parked nearby.
